"My father became paralyzed and was given 3 months to live. I was born in the Philippines to a Catholic mother and a Protestant father. Through the recommendation of a family friend, my father, all by himself, went to an evening service to be prayed for. Sometime on the 3rd day after that prayer, my father’s left eyelid started to move. A few months later his doctors gave him a clean bill of health. When that healing of my dad came about both of my parents received the Lord, quit their secular jobs, went to bible college, and became pastors. My parents didn’t have regular incomes as pastors, we depended on what the congregation brought out every Sunday in tithes and offerings. We did not experience material possessions. Somehow the Lord provided for us. Seeing how the Lord provided for my parents helped me to develop my faith. The Lord always provided for me. Sometimes we try to prove how much we love Jesus by doing this or that, but actually it’s about what He did for all of us. He loves us in spite of our brokenness. I have to ask people, what is missing in your life? We are all looking for something, but what we really need is someone. That someone is Jesus. My name is Adela and I surrender."
