Chaz

"I texted my mom and asked her, “Would you let me know if my biological mom, ever passed away?” Shortly later, my mom came into my room and told me she had passed away two months ago. So, there I was sitting on my bed as the news really caught me by surprise. This had an effect on me. I couldn’t focus on school and my depression got worse. That battle lasted for about five months. I like reading my adoption book every month or so. It is a book that my parents put together with my birth certificate and some information on my mom. It reminds me of being adopted into the family of Christ (Romans 8:14-17). God wanted me in a new family. The Bible is the greatest adoption book. I had to break friendships in school that has been hurtful. It is all a part of the plan. God keeps me motivated through it all. Attending Christian camps and conferences helps me develop a deeper relationship with Jesus. I rededicated my life to Christ. I was baptized when I was younger. Seeing other people get closer to Christ inspires me to do it as well and help others follow Jesus. Youth group has really helped me learn new things in my faith and everyone feels welcomed. If you are sick and can’t make it to church that is fine, but attending in person and being consistent really is a good spiritual habit. You get to feel God move in the room attending in-person church. When you are consistent, it helps your mental health and so many things. Because of Jesus I have seen more self-control in my life and interlocks with peace Jesus has given me. Jesus died for your sins and his love is everlasting. Even if you don’t know Him, he loves you so much! My name is Chaz and I surrender."
